What you do when the unexpected comes again and again...

So this is me... now~ impatiently awaiting the arrival of my sweet baby bird.  A little over a week ago, I think I am leaving for Steamboat Springs, CO with Barty... and the doc says no.  Not only No, but that I am already dialated!  A month early and the process has begun.  As happy as I was this journey was coming to an end and a new one was beginning all of a sudden i am not going to Steamboat (mind you this was after a movie I thought I was doing already got moved back)  and even more so, now there is a possibility I could have this baby while he is gone.  Now its 10 days later, I have managed to lay low for the most part and only have three more days till he arrives back and we can hopefully greet Baby Bird together!  Since he left, with the help of family and friends, we managed to knock out this list.  Oh and I believe my mom and I added like 20 more things knocked those out to and Linz(Gypsy sister) and I managed to shoot with Amanda Elemore (Gabby modeled) 49 items of GypsySun Vintage clothing,  edited pics and posted all on ETSY!www.gypsysun.etsy.com check them out see whatcha think!  I would say as crazy as I am goin trying to stay off my feet and keep baby bird at bay... I have gotten a ton done! Thanks mom for coming down- for a few days I thought I was gonna loose it completely. Dont worry it could still happen.  I mean Bart is leaving again Wed for Kansas.

So this is the list I emailed out to family shortly after I found out and sent out a call tree with attached directions to the hospital.   Is this called nesting or Crazy?  AND now we wait.

  1. You totally had me rolling reading that list :) Nesting at it's finest! You sound really organized and it sounds like you are cranking through your To-Dos though. Don't forget you can just sit and watch a movie, read a good book, and enjoy some peace and quiet while you can, too.

But no matter how prepared you think you are- when you bring that little bundle home it will rock your world. I thought I had LOTs of experience with babies until we brought Brady home, and his first clothing and diaper change I about had a panic attack! We just hovered over him staring and neurotically checking him to make sure he was OK. I was so nervous and felt like I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. But I eventually got the hang of it and you will too, I realized they don't break, a little crying won't kill them, and you can't spoil a baby! But I have also learned not to worry so much about the "domestic" stuff, it'll get done when it gets done, just slow down and enjoy your time with BB :)

  2. Aw Thanks Camille! I have no doubt that doesn't matter what i do I completely realize all will change the second I bring Baby Bird home which is partially why I am running around in the first place. Accepting that it wont be perfect-- yet will in it own way is what I am working on at the moment. Thank goodness my partner in crime(Barty) is quite the domestic one. I have to work a lil harder at it. But there are babies being born on dirt floors in mud hutches right now so I think we can do this! Love you and thanks for advice and giggles- both appreciated.

  3. Who would have every thought that you could be so organized?
That's some scary poop, right there.
    I'm betting on a girl.
I am also available to come down and help in any way. I can do it all...except change diapers and breast feed.

  4. Oh I know you can Mickey- and really a girl huh? Interesting. I have no clue anymore. I know you can help with babies and all, but may have some questions more on our usual geeky talk! Expect a usually random email with lots of question. Yes I have baby on the brain, but the other half never stops going as well! Miss ya!
